I probably should have paid closer attention to further down the page.

I'd consider it, but I'm probably unqualified for that job.Moff wrote:Grade my papers for me and we can post more. <_<
Please?
And there was much rejoicing.Moff wrote:Yay, first spam attack thwarted! We're a real website now!
I really can't blame you, not entirely.Moff wrote:I know, and I'm sorry. I'm juggling grading papers, research, getting an introduction together for my Master's thesis, building the map, building the economy... and kinda banging my head on all of them.
On the upside, I've got most of the blanks done and the PSDs set up for coloring. Crazed very graciously offered to code a system to allow the use of the map in a better fashion than my original plan. But yeah. Sorry. I might have jumped the gun a bit, but I'm very serious about getting this game going and going right. I want you guys to have a good game. I think of the problems we had in the old VII and VIII, and I'm trying to avoid them.
My pleasure. I'm mostly glad of the fact I was able to open it with a traditional post-opening monologue outer space bit and make it relatively work.Moff wrote:To everyone that has signed up so far, I thank you. And I really want to thank Space Jawa for getting the ball rolling!
I feel inclined to ask about what this "AstroSynthesis" program is and how the mapping software works vs using a image editing software like Photoshop.Moff wrote:-A map based on the Star Wars Atlas data, showing political regions of influence. Sadly, it will not display trade routes as the mapping software I'm using has severe problems with them. If anyone knows an alternative to AstroSynthesis, I will cheerfully listen.
I mostly play EDH/Commander myself. That and pre-release and the occasional draft. I find it's a lot easier to keep up with things that way, and I think it's a lot more fun a format to boot.Sahana wrote:I would hope it would be a Magic The Gathering tournament, but alas, I don't have money to keep up with MTG.
What do you mean by that?Moff wrote:Actually, to be honest... if I straight-up hated it, the board might have been in trouble. <_<
I was just thinking of the weapon, to be honest.Moff wrote:The book or the weapon? <_<For what it's worth, I think the Darksaber was less of a personal superlaser and more like a giant flying deathtrap made out of pure, unrefined bad decision making.
For what it's worth, I think the Darksaber was less of a personal superlaser and more like a giant flying deathtrap made out of pure, unrefined bad decision making.Moff wrote:In fairness... there's a lot of utter tripe in the EU. We burned it here, too... by changing Endor. No Hutt crime lords with personal superlasers, for example... :p
For whatever it's worth, if I'd been responsible for things, I would have cut some things as well, I just wouldn't have thrown out the entire Expanded Universe. I would have just set a chronological cut-off point of the Alliance/Empire peace at the end of the Hand of of Thrawn duology where everything before is still canon and afterwards is open to work with.Sahana wrote:So I finally got to see it tonight, unlike some films, once I heard they threw out the Extended universe, my interest in this dropped dramatically.
